2027 Medicare Advantage plans in California, by county

Advantage plans are sold county by county, and the 2027 plans are not the 2026 plans. Pick your county below, check the plans sold there against your doctors, prescriptions and pharmacy, and talk with a licensed advisor at no cost to you.

2027 plans are not 2026 plans

Premiums, copays, drug lists, pharmacies and doctor networks move every year, and some plans end. The Annual Enrollment Period runs October 15 to December 7, and that is your window to change for January 1.

Your county decides your options

Advantage plans are sold county by county, so the plans, carriers and costs in the next county can be completely different. Start with your county page, not a statewide list.

Checked against your doctors and drugs

Networks and drug coverage are set plan by plan, not carrier by carrier. The check that matters is your doctors, your prescriptions and your pharmacy against one exact plan, before you enroll.

Before you decide

3 things California Medicare enrollees should know

Choosing on the $0 premium alone

A $0 plan premium is not $0 health care. Compare the out of pocket maximum, the hospital and specialist copays, and what your prescriptions cost on that plan across a full year, not just the monthly premium.

Giving up retiree coverage by enrolling

If you have retiree coverage through a former employer, for example CalPERS, enrolling in an individual Advantage or standalone drug plan can cancel that retiree coverage for good. Check what you would lose before you enroll in anything.

Checking the carrier name instead of the exact plan

A doctor who takes one Advantage plan from a carrier may not take another plan from the same carrier. Confirm the exact plan name and plan number with the office, check your pharmacy and drug tiers at the same time, and recheck every fall.

Not sure which 2027 Advantage plan fits your doctors and drugs?

Pick your county above and compare the 2027 Advantage plans sold there, or talk with Eric Ullrich, a licensed independent agent (CA license #4551902). He checks the exact plan against your doctors and prescriptions before you enroll, and his help is free to you: the carrier pays the agent, and your premium is the same either way.
